FCP Company Update 2013
Loyal Customers,
Just two weeks ago we released a survey asking you all for your input on FCP’s product offering, services and communication. We received over 4,000 responses, hundreds of comments and scores of emails detailing your appreciations and concerns, and we have reviewed every single one of them. We’ve discovered that the vast majority of you would like to see FCP focus on improving the quality and selection of products on our websites, the consistency of brands we list, the accuracy of our website listings and application data, improve pricing and general improvements to our customer service and call center.
Today we want to introduce exactly what you can expect from FCP in 2013.
Quality and selection of products on our website: Our most frequent request was for more OEM & Genuine parts. So on January 14th, we deployed our Product Team on a project to develop the deepest and widest selection of Genuine, OEM, preventative maintenance parts and kits available online. They’ve already added hundreds of Genuine and OEM parts to our catalog, and they continue to add more every day. We feel it’s our responsibility to help our customers maintain their vehicle safely and affordably, and we’re dedicating our products to that cause. Just as some new product is coming in the doors, some is going out. We’ve already removed some low quality brands and we’re inspecting others as we further concentrate our already stringent quality control standards to include cycle counting, racking presentation, and product age.
Pricing Improvements: To go along with our continued catalog expansion, we’ve set our Pricing Team to the task of pricing us lowest among the enthusiast auto parts websites. If you see a lower price, we want to know.
Accuracy of website listings and vehicle application data: Just this week we launched a new user interface for FCPEuro.com and FCPImport.com, Including a soon-to-be-completed full integration of our legacy site, FCP Groton, and an entirely re-designed interface allowing faster and more accurate auto parts shopping online. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the new sites, but just in case there’s something you don’t like, let us know what’s wrong and we’ll make it better. You can reply to this email with your concern, just make sure to include details like your Browser and Operating System versions & screen shots if applicable so we can track down your issue more accurately.
Consistency of Brands: We are diligently working to remove any ambiguous brand representation on our websites such as “aftermarket”. Our new user interface accurately represent the specific brands you will be receiving and each kitted product is broken down on a sku by sku basis with specific brands listed. We will ensure that you receive the brand that is listed on the website.
Improvements to our customer service and call center: Based on your feedback we plan to expand the hours of the call center from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST Saturday. We also have immediate plans to add 5 more employees to our existing call center staff of 9 in order to eliminate any long hold times.
